たまごっち✕Apple Watchで爆誕！「たまうぉっち」がSNSで話題

Apple Watchを「たまごっち」の殻に入れた「たまうぉっち」（Tamawatchi）を制作した海外クリエイターの投稿が、TikTokやInstagramで話題を呼んでいます。Apple Watch SEを使用し、写真を表示して楽しむことができ、充電も可能です。

「たまうぉっち」爆誕

たまごっちに、Apple Watchの文字盤が見えるように組み込んだ「たまうぉっち」の動画や写真を、クリエイターのエマ・オーフンさんが投稿して話題となっています。

「たまうぉっち」の写真をまとめたTIkTok投稿には50万件以上の「いいね」が付き、制作の様子を詳しく紹介して3月に投稿されたInstagramの動画には、1週間ほどで8万件以上の「いいね」が付いています。

Apple WatchのDigital Crownやサイドボタンにはアクセスできないので、できることは限られますが、エマさんは写真を表示できるアクセサリーとして愛用しているようです。

Apple Watch SEを組み込んで制作

エマさんが公開した「たまうぉっち」の制作方法は以下のとおりです。

2006年発売の「Tamagotchi Connection Version 3」（日本では「超じんせーエンジョイ！たまごっちプラス」として販売）の本体を開ける
内部の電子部品を取り出し、ドレメルと呼ばれる工具で内側を削る
たまごっちの殻に、Apple Watch SEをはめ込み、強力な両面テープで固定する
Apple Watchを充電できるよう、たまごっちの殻の背面をくり抜く

たまごっち、ブーム後も時代に合わせて進化

たまごっちは1997年頃の大ブーム後に販売を停止していましたが、2004年に赤外線通信機能を搭載して復活、2008年にはカラー画面モデル、2014年にはNFC通信機能搭載、2018年にはアプリ連動モデル、そして誕生25周年の2021年にはスマートウォッチ「Tamagotchi Smart」が登場しており、時代に合わせて進化を続けています。

Appleのゲーム遊び放題サービスApple Arcadeでは、2024年2月にアドベンチャーゲーム「たまごっちアドベンチャーキングダム」が配信されています。
