iPhone14は発売時からインド製も展開〜クオ氏

 
iPhone14シリーズの発表が来月にも期待されていますが、iPhone14はインド製モデルも中国製モデルと同時に展開される見込みで、これはApple史上初であるとのことです。

Appleにとって重要なマイルストーンとなるか

Appleのサプライチェーンに詳しい著名アナリスト、ミンチー・クオ氏の最近の調査によれば、FoxconnのインドのiPhone製造工場は、2022年第2四半期から6.1インチモデルのiPhone14の出荷を開始する見通しであるとのことです。
 

My latest survey indicates Foxconn's iPhone production site in India will ship the new 6.1" iPhone 14 almost simultaneously with China for the first time in 2H22 (India being one quarter or more behind in the past).

インドのiPhoneの生産能力/出荷台数はまだ中国とかなり開きがあるものの、Appleにとって中国以外のiPhone生産拠点を構築する重要なマイルストーンになるそうです。
 
この動きは、Appleが供給に対する地政学的な影響を軽減しようとしており、加えてインド市場を次の重要な成長因子と見ていることを示唆している、ともクオ氏は述べています。
 

It implies that Apple is trying to reduce the geopolitical impacts on supply and sees the Indian market as the next key growth driver.
