AirPower、1月21日からPegatronが量産開始！？発売も近いか

 
Apple製のワイヤレス充電パッドAirPowerの製造がついに開始された、と報じられています。2018年中の発売はできませんでしたが、近日中の発売がありそうです。

発売が近いと期待されていたAirPower

AirPowerについてAppleは、2018年中の発売を予告していましたが、2018年9月にはAppleの公式サイトから姿を消し、結局2018年中に発売されることはありませんでした。
 
しかし年明け早々に、AirPowerの発売が遅れる原因となっていた発熱などの技術的問題が解決したと報じられ、発売が近いのではないかと期待されていました。

すでにAirPowerの製造は始まっている？

充電関係情報の専門メディアChargerLabは「サプライチェーンの信頼できる関係者からの情報」として、Luxshare PrecisionがすでにAirPowerの製造を開始している、とTwitterで報じました。
 
Luxshare Precisionは、AirPodsやApple純正のUSB Type C（USB-C）ケーブルを製造しているAppleの主要サプライヤーの1つです。

1月21日、Pegatronが量産開始か

ChargerLabはその後、他の人物からの情報として、iPhoneの組み立てなどを担当するAppleの主要サプライヤーであるPegatronが、1月21日にAirPowerの量産を開始する、と続報を伝えています。
 
ChargerLabはPegatronの従業員からの話として、AirPowerの内部にはコイルが3部構成で配置されており、上から順に8-7-7のコイルが配置されている、とも報じています。

これら2つのツイートがどちらも事実なら、AirPowerは複数のサプライヤーで同時に製造されていることになります。

ChargerLabは、AirPower内部の構造に近い、複数デバイスの同時充電に対応したワイヤレス充電機の内部構造を示した写真も公開しています。
