Apple製品のプロトタイプなどの画像をTwitterに投稿しているInternal Archive氏（@ArchiveInternal）が、Google Pixel 2のプロトタイプの画像を複数投稿、同モデルは虹彩認証の搭載を検討していたと伝えています。

赤外線フィルター付きカメラと赤外線LED搭載

Internal Archive氏（@ArchiveInternal）がTwitterに投稿したGoogle Pixel 2のプロトタイプは、技術検証試験（EVT：Engineering Validation Test）段階のものです。
 
同氏によれば、このプロトタイプには赤外線フィルター付きカメラと赤外線LEDが搭載されており、虹彩認証機構が組み込まれているとのことです。
 
ただし、それ以外に見るべき点はなく、Google Pixel 2のプロトタイプは虹彩認証機構のテストのためだけに用いられたと、Internal Archive氏（@ArchiveInternal）は述べています。
 

 
プロトタイプには、虹彩認証機構のテスト用アプリである「IrisDemo」が搭載されています。
